Mac TCP is located in the Control Panels folder. If PPP is not black, click on it and then click the button.

Once the window below appears, make sure that under IP Address it is set to class "C". Obtain Address should be set to "Server". Under Domain Name Server Information make the following entries:

Click and close Mac TCP. If asked to restart your Macintosh, please do so.

First you need to open "Config PPP" which is located in the "Control Panels" folder. It should look something like the illustration below. 

Make sure that the menu shows the port to which your modem is connected. Once that is set, then click on the button.

Attention: This step is very important

The drop down menu needs to read 19200 if you have a 14.4 modem, 38400 if you have a 28.8 modem and 57600 if you have a 56K modem. IT IS IMPORTANT TO GET THIS RIGHT.

Click in the field and enter the local access number for your area.

 Click the button. It should look identical to the following picture. If it doesn't, make the changes and click .

The following step is optional. If you are worried about security then DON'T DO IT!
Click the button. Type in your User ID into the "Auth. ID:" field, and your password into the "Password:" field. By doing this you will not have to enter this information every time you login to OrbisNet. Click the button, then click .
