GoldMine
is sold on a "licensed users" basis. Licenses are available for single users
(i.e., a notebook) and multiple users on a network. Network licenses are sold based on the
total number of concurrent users. GoldMine licenses over 100 are volume licenses.
For example, a five-user network license allows
up to five (5) individual users, at a time, to be logged onto GoldMine on a single
network. You may have five (5) day-shift users logon and work during the day, and then an
additional five (5) nightshift users to logon in the evening after the first shift has
logged off. Multi-user licenses are strictly based on concurrent network access.
However, a five-user network license cannot
be split up to accommodate three (3) users on a network, and two (2) users on notebooks.
Two single user licenses must be purchased for the notebook users. A five-user network
license must be purchased for the three internal, network users since this is the smallest
license that accommodates all three users, concurrently (see below for available network
licenses).
Additionally, single user licenses may be
combined to create network licenses.

The
pricing schedule applies to both Windows and DOS versions.
Remote Synchronization requires separate software licenses (i.e., GoldMine Serial Numbers)
for each independent GoldMine site. Network licenses cannot be converted into an
equivalent number of single user licenses required for Remote Synchronization's operation.
