Netscape Messenger E-Mail Configuration
This is our online support area to help you setup Netscape Messenger to work
with either the SOHOHost Web Hosting Service or SOHO Central Business Class
Internet Access.
Please note: There are special instructions for setup depending on
whether you subscribe to our Internet access service or just our web hosting
service or both.
- Click the Start button.
- From the Start menu, point to Netscape Communicator
and choose Netscape Navigator.
- From the menu bar, click Edit and choose
Preferences.
- From Mail & Groups click the Identity link.
- In the Full Name text box, type your name.
- In the Email Address text box, type your SOHO Central username,
followed by @sohocentralusa.com (For example: username@sohocentralusa.com, or if we
host your domain you would type username@yourdomain.com)
- From Mail & Groups click the Mail Server link.
- In the Mail server username text box, type your username.
- In the Outgoing mail [SMTP] server text box, type
smtp.sohocentralusa.com (if we host your site and you DO NOT subscribe to our Internet
access service, you must enter the SMTP settings of your local
Internet provider. If we host your site and you DO subscribe to our
Internet access service, put smtp.yourdomain.com)
- In the Incoming Mail Server area box, click add. On the
General tab, type pop.sohocentralusa.com in the mail server text box (if we host your
site type in pop.yourdomain.com). Click POP3 for Server
Type. Then type in your username in the User Name text box.
- Click the OK button to close the window.
