Windows NT 4.0 Dialup Configuration

This area is available to help you setup Windows NT 4.0 for use with SOHO Central Business Class Internet Access. It will walk you through the various configuration screens on your computer.

Some of these configurations may already be configured on your system as a result of previous Internet connections and/or pre-installed with your system. Please review this information to make sure it is correct.

Before you begin, make sure you have your Windows NT CD-ROM or diskettes available and ready for installation.

Install Dial-Up Networking

  1. From the desktop, double-click My Computer.
  2. Double-click Dial-up Networking.
  3. If you receive a message stating The phonebook is empty. Press O.K. to add an entry, skip to the next section, Setup Dial-up Networking.
    • If the Dial-up Networking window opens with the phonebook list and the option to dial, again proceed to the next section to create a new connection.
    • Otherwise, click Install, then point to the path where your NT 4.0 install files are located (for example, D:\i386) and click OK. Windows NT will now install the necessary files onto the hard drive.
