Go to our SOHOHost Software
Center, and download an
FTP program, such as WS-FTP, or FTP Voyager. If we are hosting your domain, your host address would be ftp.<yourdomain>.com.
The most common problem is people entering ftp://
before the address. DO NOT do this. It only confuses the FTP program. When you login, you
will be in the directory where your index.html page goes (if you are being
hosted on one of our NT Servers, your page will be called default.htm). Go to
our How To Use FTP support page and follow the FTP
program instructions on uploading your files. Your changes will be visible immediately.
If you are using Microsoft FrontPage, all you have to do is Insert ->FrontPage Component
-> Hit Counter. A dialog box will come up asking you to pick your style and
number of digits. Choose and then save your web page. If you are not using
FrontPage then we recommend the Link Exchange counter. There are also many sites
which feature a large selection of free counters.
I get the error: HTTP/1.0 403 Access Forbidden.
The most common reason for this, is you either don't have any pages in your directory yet,
or your homepage is not named index.html or default.htm.
If you are using FrontPage, when you create the form you can specify that
it will e-mail you the input. You can also use our Web Form Creator and use
the command mailto: youremailaddress@yourdomain.com
We can also create custom forms for you. Feel free to contact us with your
specifications. If you have other questions, email techsupport@sohocentralusa.com
or call 619-297-9781.
AnywherE-Mail (tm) is a new service offered to customers who subscribe to
our SOHOHost Web Hosting Service or our SOHO Central Business Class Internet
Access Service. It allows you to send and receive your e-mail from any computer that has Internet
access without having to configure anything. You can also access
this feature at the SOHO Central Start Center.

- You are done.
If you require a web-based autoresponder, these are available
at an additional charge. We will set one up
for you and then e-mail instructions as to use. To see a sample of our

You can view your stats by going to http://www.<<yourdomain>>.com/siteadmin

Yes you can. You can use most e-mail clients such as Microsoft Outlook
Express, Netscape Messenger, Pegasus Mail, or Eudora. These
can be found at our SOHOHost
Software Center.
Pegasus Mail:
Click on File->Network Configuration.
For the POP3 Host enter pop.sohocentralusa.com. (if
we host your website enter pop.yourdomain.com instead).
User name and password is the login and password you were given when you signed up.
For the SMTP Host enter smtp.sohocentralusa.com (if we host your site and you DO NOT subscribe to our Internet access service, you must enter the SMTP settings of your local Internet provider. If we host your site and you DO subscribe to our Internet access service, put
smtp.yourdomain.com)
Then click on Advanced Configuration
In the From field, enter your email address and then check the box Use
this "From" field to form the SMTP envelope. Then click OK,
and OK again.
Now check your mail!
Eudora Mail:
Click on Tools->Options.
There are many ways to configure Eudora. The main information you need to know is:
Your E-mail address
POP3 Server: pop.yourdomain.com or
pop.sohocentralusa.com
SMTP Server: smtp.sohocentralusa.com (if we host your site and you DO NOT subscribe to our Internet access service, you must enter the SMTP settings of your local Internet provider. If we host your site and you DO subscribe to our Internet access service, put
smtp.yourdomain.com)

Click on Mail & Newsgroups, then Mail
Servers
Incoming Mail Servers (POP3): pop.yourdomain.com or pop.sohocentralusa.com
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.sohocentralusa.com
(if we host your site and you DO NOT subscribe to our Internet access service, you must enter the SMTP settings of your local Internet provider. If we host your site and you DO subscribe to our Internet access service, put
smtp.yourdomain.com)
This probably means that you are out of space with the current hosting package you have. There
is Quota software running on all servers that will return a "Disk Full" error
message when you have reached this quota. You can monitor your disk space at
the http://www.<<yourdomain>>.com/siteadmin
or http://www.sohocentralusa.com/personal/
sites. All you have to do is contact Sales at 619-297-9781 to increase your space.
